Ingredients
Scale
- 3 pounds chicken wings (about 25)
- 25 slices of bacon (about 2 pounds)
- 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
- 4 Tbsp kosher salt
- 2 Tbsp granulated garlic
- 1 Tbsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees with the rack in the upper third slot.
- Line bacon in a single layer onto an aluminum foil-lined rimmed cookie sheet(s).
- Cook bacon for 10 minutes.
- Remove bacon and set aside while you prepare the chicken wings.
- Increase oven temperature to 450 degrees.
- In a small bowl, combine salt, garlic, black pepper.
- Liberally season chicken wings with the seasoning mixture.
- Wrap each chicken wing with a strip of partially cooked bacon.
- Place bacon-wrapped chicken wings onto a cooling rack and set in rimmed cookie sheet. This will help the heat circulate around the chicken and allow grease to drip off.
- Place chicken wings in oven and cook for 50 minutes, flipping and rotating cookie sheet(s) halfway through.
- While the chicken wings are cooking, heat your favorite BBQ sauce over medium-low heat until just steaming, then keep warm.
- When the chicken wings are finished and bacon is crispy, remove from oven and brush with BBQ sauce.
- Let stand 5 minutes before eating.
