Description

Wings so good and so easy, they are perfect for your football feast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds chicken wings (about 25)
  • 25 slices of bacon (about 2 pounds)
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 4 Tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp granulated garlic
  • 1 Tbsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees with the rack in the upper third slot.
  2. Line bacon in a single layer onto an aluminum foil-lined rimmed cookie sheet(s).
  3. Cook bacon for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove bacon and set aside while you prepare the chicken wings.
  5. Increase oven temperature to 450 degrees.
  6. In a small bowl, combine salt, garlic, black pepper.
  7. Liberally season chicken wings with the seasoning mixture.
  8. Wrap each chicken wing with a strip of partially cooked bacon.
  9. Place bacon-wrapped chicken wings onto a cooling rack and set in rimmed cookie sheet. This will help the heat circulate around the chicken and allow grease to drip off.
  10. Place chicken wings in oven and cook for 50 minutes, flipping and rotating cookie sheet(s) halfway through.
  11. While the chicken wings are cooking, heat your favorite BBQ sauce over medium-low heat until just steaming, then keep warm.
  12. When the chicken wings are finished and bacon is crispy, remove from oven and brush with BBQ sauce.
  13. Let stand 5 minutes before eating.
