Grilled Cedar Plank Salmon

Description
A simple, quick weeknight recipe that will have a healthy dinner on the table in 30 minutes. This salmon is packed with deep, rich flavor with just a hint of smoke. It is perfect for a date night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cedar plank
- 2–4 salmon fillets
Rub
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
- 1/2 Tbsp granulated garlic
- 1/4 Tbsp pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
Glaze
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Prepare grill for direct cooking at medium-high, about 400 degrees
- Make the glaze: whisk honey and balsamic vinegar together in a small cup or bowl
- Make the rub: combine all ingredients in a small bowl and season salmon
- Place cedar plank on grill for 2 minutes, or until slightly charred on one side.
- Flip plank and place salmon fillets on charred side
- Close grill lid and cook for 12 minutes
- Glaze with honey-balsamic mixture and continue cooking for 3-5 additional minutes or until internal temperature reaches 130 degrees.
- Remove from grill and glaze a final time
- Serve immediately with grilled asparagus and prepared rice
