Simple Grilled Steak Tacos

Description

A hot grill is key to making these perfect steak tacos.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 flat iron steak, about 16 oz
  • 4 cups shredded lettuce
  • 4 Tbsp prepared salsa
  • 4 Tbsp shredded Mexican cheese
  • 1012 flour tortillas
  • 1 packet Old El Paso fajita seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare grill for direct cooking at 500 degrees.
  2. Season flat iron steak on all sides with fajita seasoning and let sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes while grill comes to temperature.
  3. Place steak on grill and cook for 5 minutes per side for medium rare (125 degrees internal temperature), or to your desired doneness.
  4. Remove steak from gill and rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Heat tortillas on grill for 30 second per side, until charred but pliable.
  6. Thinly slice steak across the grain and serve with warmed tortillas, cheese, salsa and shredded lettuce.
