Tequila Lime Marinated Flank Steak on the Big Green Egg

Description

A versatile steak recipe that goes well in tacos, salads or however you want to serve it. The tequila adds a nice dimension that will lead to compliments heading your way!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 soy sauce
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • 2 oz. tequila
  • 1 flank steak, 16-24 oz.
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, cilantro, ginger, olive oil, soy sauce, lime and tequila.
  2. Put flank steak in a resealable bag and pour marinade over top. Refrigerate overnight.
  3. Remove flank steak from marinade and allow excess to drip off. Pat dry with paper towels.
  4. Prepare grill for direct cooking at 600-700 degrees.
  5. Grill steak for 2-4 minutes per side, until internal temperature reads 125 for medium rare.
  6. Remove steak from grill and let rest 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
